Amber values its cultural diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where individuals from various backgrounds and perspectives come together to fuel creativity and innovation. We believe that a diverse workforce enhances our global outlook and allows us to better understand the needs of clients and partners across different regions.
This commitment to inclusion is reflected in our international team, which includes employees from a wide range of nationalities.
In 2023, Romanian managers held most people management positions across all levels at Amber, including Executives, Leadership, and Line Managers, making up 68% of the total. Following them, our Mexican colleagues represented 12% of all managers, showcasing the growth of our team in Latin America. Specifically, 45% of our employees are under 30, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to the company. Additionally, 52% of the staff falls within the 30 to 50 age range, offering a balanced mix of experience and innovation.
While younger generations form the majority, we also value the contributions of our more seasoned employees, 4% of our workforce (or 35 individuals) are over the age of 50. This diversity in age allows Amber to benefit from a wide range of insights, experiences, and approaches, fostering a collaborative environment where different generations work together to drive our success.

Amber continues its commitment to fostering an equal playing field for both men and women, with a key focus on ensuring equal pay. In 2023, the ratio of women's salaries to men's across all employee seniority levels (excluding the executive team) in all markets was 1.09, meaning that on average, across similar levels of seniority, female employees earn about 9% more than male employees.
This average salary ratio was calculated by analyzing wages across various seniority levels, including Associate, Advanced, Expert, Senior, Team Leader, and Manager roles.
A separate calculation was done for the Executive & Leadership team, which includes C-level executives and their direct reports. While not based on location, the dominant regions for this group remain Romania and the U.S., consistent with previous years. As of December 2023, women made up 15% of Amber's Executive and Leadership team. For this group, the average salary ratio was 1.15.
The benefits provided to employees vary across the markets and take into consideration the legal provisions applicable for each location, as well as the best practices in the industry. The benefits offered to employees come in addition to the public, obligatory medical insurance, or annual leave according to the law, as well as other legally regulated provisions such as prima vacacional or prima dominical as provided in Mexico.
Depending on the best practices applicable to each location, benefits offered to employees may include meal tickets, psychologist sessions, private medical insurance, a retirement saving plan, extra days of salary at the end of the year, life insurance, and 401(k) plan.
Key special benefits offered by the company across all locations (subject to certain tenure or seniority criteria) include an annual bonus based on the financial performance of the company, an “Unlimited Days Off” policy which allows employees to take additional paid leave on top of the national standard number of paid days off.
In 2022, Amber introduced an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) to promote a sense of ownership and deepen employee engagement by offering equity to eligible staff. By the end of 2023, around 30% of employees were enrolled in the plan. The ESOP will remain a central part of Amber's compensation strategy, recognizing and rewarding employees who contribute to building the company’s future.

By investing in learning, we ensure that both individuals and teams are equipped to navigate an evolving industry with confidence and creativity.
Amber conducted an internal comprehensive sustainability focus survey to better understand the issues most important to its key stakeholders. A total of 138 stakeholders participated, including employees, contractors, suppliers, shareholders, media representatives, clients, and others from industry, academia, NGOs, and authorities. This study conducted in 2022, aimed to identify critical social, governance, and environmental factors that could impact Amber's value creation in the short, medium, and long term.
The survey responses were collected anonymously, while Amber's management conducted an independent assessment to reflect the company's current ESG focus areas. The participants highlighted employee development, working conditions, and educational opportunities as priority areas. These insights are reflected in the materiality matrix, where topics like business ethics, employee conditions, career development, and gender equality were rated highly by both stakeholders and the company.
This matrix will guide Amber's sustainability strategy in the coming years, as the company continues to focus on these key areas to drive both value and impact.
As Amber continues to expand globally, our dedication to Humanism and fostering an inclusive, diverse workforce will remain central to our mission. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels empowered to grow and contribute. This report reflects our ongoing efforts to build a strong, supportive environment that not only drives business success but also enriches the lives of our employees.
