Video game development and studio services agency Amber has successfully secured a $20 million investment.
This latest funding has propelled the company's valuation to $190 million. The investment, courtesy of Emona Capital, is earmarked for the expansion of the firm, as outlined in the official announcement.
In addition to supporting the growth of the company, the freshly acquired funds will be directed toward future mergers and acquisitions, as well as the overall expansion of business operations.
Concurrently with this investment update, Dominik Dolenec, the managing partner of Emona Capital, is set to join Amber's board of directors.
According to Mihai Pohontu, Chairman of Amber, "This marks the commencement of a new phase in Amber's history, one that involves expanding our network of studios to encompass all genres and platforms, while fortifying our studio service capabilities."
He further stated, "At this larger scale, we can actualize our agency's vision to transform game development ecosystems globally through investments in community and innovation."
Amber's video game development and studio services have witnessed notable operational growth throughout 2022. In June of the same year, the company reported an impressive revenue of $30.5 million for 2021 and additionally inaugurated a new office in Poland.
