Software Test Engineer

About the job:

  • You will play a key role in performing automation tests against Amber’s products. You will be working closely with our development team as part of ongoing development of automation processes in gaming.

Key Activities:

  • The following tasks are considered core to the role and the successful candidate will over time be expected to adopt the bellow tasks in part or full:
  • Creation and execution of pre and post release tests on a sprint by sprint basis
  • Ongoing definition and maintenance of test scripts coverage
  • Elaborate test-plans and test cases for various types of testing (functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing and long run testing);
  • Execute and manage automated integration tests and test cases
  • Execute and manage general automated tests
  • Offering constant and relevant feedback related to progress, risks, needs that may occur
  • Produce accurate estimates and participate in daily task tracking activities

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years’ applied experience as Quality Engineer (QE)
  • Previous experience of Automated Testing (mobile and web related is a strong plus)
  • Experience of working with at least one of the following languages: C#, Python, Java, Java Script
  • Knowledge of system performance testing or benchmarking tools
  • Understanding of product release cycles, code repositories, branching, labelling and packaging
  • Ability to develop performance test scripts using open source (e.g. Apache JMeter, Jasmine, JUnit5, Selenium) and industry standard tools (e.g. HP LoadRunner)
  • Experience with understanding Web and Mobile technologies
  • Experience of working with and implementing test automation and automation tools
